Contamination of wounds with sea water

1.Gently scrub the wound with soap & drinking water for 15 minutes.

2.Remove foreign body such as sand or coral as much as possible

3.Flush the wound with drinking water or if possible with normal saline solution

4.If the wound has active bleeding, apply pressure direct or proximal to the wound to stop bleeding. (If the wound is deep or cannot stop bleeding seek for medical attension.)
